Delighted to receive this email on September 23, 2017 from a group of 5th year BS Industrial Engineering Students from University of the Philippines, Diliman, to “share your knowledge and passion in helping stoma patients here in the Philippines.”
I assumed they got my name from the publications that I put on the Net:
(I wrote this paper in 1979. I later published it on the Net.)
Stoma Management in the Philippines (I published this in 2002.) (http://stoma_mgt_phil.tripod.com)
We are Industrial Engineering students from the University of the Philippines – Diliman currently taking up a Project Development and Management course. We would like to ask if we can interview you for our feasibility study.
Our study aims to determine the feasibility of establishing a non-profit organization in the Philippines that provides accessibility for stoma care equipment and accessories, seminars and trainings, and counseling for both patients and people living with them. The organization also offers grants to stoma patients who are in dire need financial support for their maintenance.
We hope that you can share your knowledge and passion in helping stoma patients here in the Philippines.
We are looking forward to meet you. Thank you.

Why I am delighted?
I am delighted primary because my online posting of my writings turns out to be useful to online readers and researchers. If I don’t post them online, just keep them in my cabinets, nobody will know I have the writings and information and they will just die with me.
I am also delighted because I am reminded of this quote:
Note: I sent a note of regret because I don’t do many stoma surgery anymore as I am semi-retired. I referred them to younger experts like Dr. Manuel Francisco Roxas and Dr. Cathy Co.
I remind myself of this quote from Desiderata:
“Take kindly the counsel of the years, gracefully surrendering the things of youth.”
ROJoson’s Delightful Feedback Project
Starting October 28, 2012, I will put up a photo album that will contain all delightful feedback to me as a person, husband, father, brother, family man, citizen, physician, physician-surgeon, physician-educator, physician-administrator, physician-researcher, etc. This will be the treasure that I will collect before I leave this world. This will be the treasure that I will cherish while my senses are still intact, not at necrological services.
