UPCM MSc Surg – Glenn Genuino’s Thesis Proposal – July 11, 2012 – Graduates of MSc Surg

Today, July 11, 2012, Dr. Glenn Genuino presented his thesis proposal for his Master of Science in Clinical Medicine (Surgery – Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery).  The event was held in the Department of Surgery of the Philippine General Hospital.  The members of the thesis panel consisted of Dr. JJ Cruz; Dr. Rodney Dofitas; Dr. Eric Talens; Dr. Mela Lapitan; and myself.

His proposed thesis title is:

A RANDOMIZED CONTROLLED TRIAL COMPARING THE EFFECTS OF OPEN DRESSINGS WITH PETROLATUM JELLY VS. STANDARD GAUZE DRESSINGS WITH SILVER SULFADIAZINE IN THE OUTPATIENT TREATMENT OF FILIPINO ADULTS WITH  SUPERFICIAL PARTIAL THICKNESS BURNS LESS THAN 10% TOTAL BODY SURFACE AREA

Dr. Glenn Genuino is a candidate for Master of Science in Clinical Medicine (Surgery).  He plans to graduate in March 2013.

  • Dr. Reynaldo Joson – 1998
  • Dr. Carmela Lapitan – 2005
  • Dr. Wang Huming (Mongolia) – 2010

Dr. Glenn Genuino will be the fourth graduate – 2013

I have been the thesis adviser for all the graduates so far.  Drs. Rodney Dofitas and Eric Talens have been regular members of the thesis panel.
