Training Course on Hospital and Health Facility Emergency Exercises in Hanoi, Vietnam, August 22-26, 2011

From August 22 to 26, 2011, I will be in Hanoi, Vietnam to be part of a team that will facilitate a training on Hospital and Health Facility Emergency Exercises. The venue will be in La Thanh Hotel. I will be with Dr. Ellen Licup and Mr. Zando Escultura from the Philippines. Dr. Gary Choa, from Singapore General Hospital, and other facilitators from Hanoi School of Public Health, Thanh Nhan Hospital, and WHO Vietnam complete the team of facilitators. Dr. Arturo Pesigan, formerly head of WPRO Emergency Humanitarian Action, was the one who invited me to be part of the team. The training course is under the auspices of WHO-WPRO.

Although I consider the course as another learning opportunity for me, I will be bringing with me my experiences in hospital disaster preparedness from Manila Doctors Hospital and Ospital ng Maynila Medical Center Department of Surgery.  See below.
